For sale is a fabulously done late 19th to early 20th century Spanish colonial painting. Unfortunately I cannot find a signature, initial or monogram. Extremely well done with perfect use of colors. The red tiled roofs really stand out as one could imagine. I have no idea of the location. It may need a cleaning and there is crazing throughout; however, nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. It measures 40" wide X 35" tall framed and 31" wide X 226" tall canvas only approximately. The frame, which is what appears to be carved acanthus leaves, is in good condition with minor losses that are an easy repair should they concern you. Personally, the painting and frame show the years well but are antique. This is an exceptional piece done by a skilled hand. The painting has been professionally valued at $4000.00. I am asking $1850.00 and it's well worth the price. If the artist can be identified the value could be considerably higher. I haven't had the time to research it however, so this could be a real sleeper.
