I have for sale a fabulous, rare pair of antique reproduction barley twist pedestals with climbing grape vines and corinthian capitals with carved acanthus leaves. Wonderful details throughout. The stand approximately 52' in height, have a 10" square base and the capitals have a flat display surface of 8" at the outside and 7" in the inside/middle. These are early 20th century reproductions of 18th century Italian pieces. The finish is ebonized giving them a rich, warm brown color very similar to the color of coffee. Given they are about 70-90 years old they are in great shape having minimal signs of wear/use. They are also pretty heavy. I can barely see the grain of the wood and believe could be Oak, but am not 100% certain of that. These are extremely rare and the only similarities I could find were actual 18th century pieces. Excellent vase, bust, jar or plant stand. There is no charge for the dust in the nooks and crannies!
