UPDATE: I have exciting news! I moved into my Foster Mums house this weekend! Her pad is perfect for me! I have a large fenced in back yard to run around and explore, a cozy doggy bed for my naps, lots of tennis balls, and no other dogs or kids to distract Foster Mum from my Pawesomeness! Mum says Im adapting quickly to home life it wasnt so hard. Im not used to someone petting me ALL THE TIME, but I love it! And Foster Mum and I are working on more commands; I already got the easy stuff down. I took Mum on a couple walks this weekend and she was impressed with my leash manners. She was also surprised I am completely house trained, dont mind going in my crate, and I love car rides. Im pretty awesome! Contact Angels to see what adoption events I will be at so we can meet! Savannah's previous bio is below: Look out, this about to be the best dog story you read today! I am Savannah and I want to tell you all about me. I hate to sound conceited, but I am a pretty awesome girl. Actually, it doesn't get much better than me! My sleek 45 lb body is covered in gorgeous short, brindle fur that barely sheds and is extremely low maintenance. I keep my girlish figure in great shape by getting plenty of exercise - my favorite ways of staying fit are long walks, hikes in the woods, romping in the yard, and chasing tennis balls. When I'm not working out, I'm relaxing. I know how to calm down and turn off my energy, and I LOVE to relax on the couch and watch Animal Planet on the TV or sit quietly by the window and watch birds. I am house trained (of course, I AM a lady!) and am also crate trained, but I'm not destructive so if you don't want to crate me while you're gone, you don't have to. I'm not all good looks, I have brains too! I'm very smart and I pick up on training quickly. I love to please my people and make them happy, and that makes me a very loyal dog. A long time ago, I was found at a gas station eating trash. Here I was, a stray who fought her whole life to survive on the streets, a sorry looking bag of bones, and I was chosen to be rescued by Angels. They helped me gain weight, get stronger, and clear up my bad skin. They taught me how to behave inside a home and how to be a family member. It's been a lot of fun being a foster dog, but I'm ready to be SOMEONE'S dog now. I'm ready for a home that I can call my own. I'm ready for my own yard, my own toys, and my own humans. I can't wait to meet my furever family. Sometimes, when I'm all tired out and laying in the grass daydreaming, I try to picture my new home. I picture a soft bed of my own to lay on, a big yard with a six foot privacy fence, gentle hands rubbing my fur, active grown ups taking me for long walks, and lots of tennis balls. Because of my past, I cannot be around other animals or children. But don't worry, I'm the only kid you'll need! Make a donation in this dog's name at http://www.angelsrescue.org/donate.
