Husky - Bauer - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog
Hi! I'm Bauer. I'm a Husky mix. I have a big, huge fat head and an even bigger heart. My foster parents say that I have the bluest eyes they have ever seen. No one seemed to love me when I was a puppy and then some loving people placed me in a kennel to save me from a kill shelter. Now I'm with my foster parents and I love having freedom to run around! They don't know how old I am but I'm sure I am nearly two. I have a lot of puppy training to do but I listen and once I understand I am very obedient! I am fully potty trained and I know how to auto-sit, shake and I'm learning how to beg on my hind legs. I love, love, love chewing on my toys and have never chewed on anything except my bones and kong balls. I can chew through a ball in under an hour so I need something a little more durable to play with. I need someone who has patience to help me learn to be the best dog in town. You see, I've never really had a home so sometimes I don't know how to act. I am still pulling very hard on my leash but with a harness I'm walking better. I also don't know how to get along with other dogs but I'm slowly learning and I'm pretty sure that I'll understand how to be friends soon. I have some alpha issues I've been told by my dog trainer. He said that I get upset at guests sometimes because I feel I have to control them to protect my "pack". I'm super nice to everyone outside of my home and I'll even lay down for a belly rub to total strangers! My fosters are helping me learn that I can trust them to be alphas. I don't really want to be an alpha honestly but I've never had anyone I could trust to take that responsibility from me. The trainer said that once I feel safe to relinquish control that I will be even more obedient. I have so much love to give, I'm hyper and playful when everyone else what's to play and I'm calm and will lay at your feet when you are relaxing. I love to go on a lot of walks too! I am the PERFECT dog. Could I be perfect for you?
