Betty was rescued from Cobb County by a volunteer who took the little girl under her wing and got her all healthy including treatment for heartworms, and happy to say she is now heartworm free!

Betty is a beautiful success story. She was a heartworm positive short-timer at animal control. If that wasn’t bad enough, she looked horrible with her crusty, scabby, hairless body, having been ravaged by untreated flea allergy. But she was a happy little girl who was completely unfettered by her circumstances, so she managed to beat the grim reaper from 3/31/12 when she came in as a stray & 4/21/12 when I got her out of there.
Thanks to Dogs on Death Row who sponsored her heartworm treatment & Union Hill Animal Hospital in Canton who provided the treatment, Betty is now HEARTWORM NEGATIVE & waiting for her forever home.
